As Mount Pleasant natives, the owners of this animal hospital valued the opportunity to contribute to the Town of Mount Pleasant’s Coleman Boulevard Revitalization Plan by requesting a Lowcountry inspired, long lasting building. The animal hospital is sited to engage with the street edge and sidewalk as well as preserve the historic live oak trees on the property.

The massing involves simple forms with varying roof and column angles, capturing an agrarian inclination. The exterior materials were chosen for their durability, longevity and low maintenance. The interior concept merged animal medical technology with a welcoming and approachable experience, for both clients and employees, by infusing natural daylight with a warm and fresh color palate.
