This new and growing congregation first hired SMHa to assist with a space needs program and masterplan. The plan addresses both short and long term building goals while preserving as many of the mature oaks as possible. Phase I includes a Fellowship Hall and classroom wing with future phases completing the classroom wing, adding a Sanctuary and chapel.

The church leadership had a vision that the architecture would create an “established” feel similar to the Old Sheldon Church in rural South Carolina. The form, massing, and use of red brick on the Fellowship Hall bring a sense of permanence to this early phase of the project.
