Outdoor Dining on Daniel Island

DANIEL ISLAND SQUARE

Charleston, SC

As the first phase for the Daniel Island Square development, this 48,000-square-foot multi-tenant office building completed in 2017 was designed as the anchor for a group of buildings envisioned to be a gathering space on Daniel Island, a master-planned community located in the City of Charleston.

The first floor has a very high floor-to-floor height and houses a restaurant and brewery, with a first floor dining porch wrapping the southwest corner. The upper floors are occupied by office tenants, taking advantage of large windows and views across the island.

The building’s brick and large format masonry relate to existing buildings on the island, with the open balconies on the street corner overlooking Guggenheim Park across the street.

A high, open air canopy is set to the west side of the building, providing space for the restaurant to host large gatherings and community events, drawing large crowds of neighbors and visitors.

SMHa also completed several tenant uplifts inside Daniel Island Square, including Student Transportation of America.
